Passover is killing me this year...

Last night, DH and I bought a new car. We are a one car family, so even though the smaller car was alright for 2 people (and paid off!); It would be hard to travel with a baby in it--especially if down the road we have more than one kid. We got a really good deal on an SUV, so we jumped on it.

However, in cleaning out his old car--I found a bag of girl scout cookies that got stuffed in the trunk about a month ago and completely forgotten about. And of course, now they are like an itch that won't go away--but it is Passover this week and I can't eat them!

So frustrating :(

  • The thought of eating month old cookies that have been in the car isn't appealing to me lol. I hope the weather has at least been cold.

  • I am usually sooo good at Passover but I just can't keep it this year.  Some of the food just doesn't appeal to me or makes me queasy thinking about it this year because my tastes have changed, hopefully only temporarily.  Plus with my Gest Diab, I actually had to forego my favorites like I couldn't eat my aunt's amazing Matzoh Balls.  :(

    Hang in there!!

  • I'm not Jewish but when my good friend (who is Jewish) still lived in town I'd do Seder dinner at her parents' house and her mom made these great chocolate treats that were crunchy and wonderful.

  • I can't even imagine observing passover while pregnant. I have much respect for your self control!

  • This is why I consider myself celebrationist instead... I get to eat all the yummy foods but don't have to pass up bread, lol.  That and my DH is Catholic.  We generally just like celebrating holidays.

  • Passover is not happening in our house this year.  I'm impressed that you are observing it while you are this pregnant--good for you.

Yup. Passover is canceled for me too.  It's the pregnancy clause.
