Cassidy is my mother's maiden name so I always said if I had a girl I'd love to name her Cassidy.
What are your thoughts?
And I'm not sure if it goes with our long polish last name which sounds like slawzinski (but that's not it)
Maybe I should just use Cassidy for a mn? Or ditch it completely?
Other names I like are Mia....and that's all I've really thought of so far.
Re: Thoughts on Cassidy for Girl's Name??
And David Cassidy but at this point no one the kiddo's age is going to make that association...haha
I'm not a fan of Cassidy ... it kind of reminds me of a dog's name.
I like Mia.
GL!
Mia Cassidy sounds nice.
Have you considered Mila?

There's a fantastic Grateful Dead song called "Cassidy" & I've loved the name ever since I first heard it.
But with your last name also ending in an "-ee" sound, I think it might be a bit much for a FN (maybe use it as a MN?).
For some reason, the name Erin Cassidy came to my mind. (One of the girl names I initially liked was Aerin, if you prefer this slightly different pronunciation.)
Cassidy is a lovely name. I like Mia too. Cassidy could always be shortened to a Cassidy and Mia could be a nickname for Amelia.
i love cassidy...its very cute not to popular ....and i can picture the little girl as an adult with that name....the way i decide if I like the name is i put the word attorney in front of it...
so in your case it would be Attorney Cassidy Slawzinski.....sounds perfect! and what a beautiful tribute to your mother.
