Update from WTF

1 - 8 eggs @ ER, 7M, 5F, 5 blasts @ 5dt, why were there no frosties?  So I am a dumb arse and didn't even ask this question

2 - Is there an egg quality issue?  He would like to help this, by taking vitamin C & OPC (still have to look this up, as I have no clue what it is)

3 - Is there an egg quantity issue (FSH, DOR)? No

4 -  Would have a 3dt been better or doesn't matter?  Doesn't matter, we will make a mental note and revisit this idea, per my embryos

5 - Different protocol for IVF #2?  Same protocol, Long Lupron w/BCP...but increase Gonal-F to 300 for the 1st few days then decrease accordingly, Menopur will stay the same (75iu), add in PIO w/Crinone, Lovenox (sp?), Intralipids and HCG shots

6 - My P4 levels were low, due to being on Crinone, should we add in PIO next time?  Yes, PIO w/Crinone

7 - Should we retest my thyroid since my TSH was boarder line going into IVF #1.2 and it increased when I got my BFP?  Yes - TSH, T3 & T4 will be tested at beta #10 next week

8 - When can we cycle again? When my HCG level reaches 2.8, last Tuesday was 82, yesterday's was 37 - thank goodness for a good drop!!!!

9 - What happens if HCG levels, level out for a few weeks? Will have to be given another Methotrexate shot

10 - Was it 100% Ectopic?  They are not sure as they can not see it.  Could be; a m/c, ectopic, implanted on the ovary or somewhere else, left over fragment or even a blast that genetically turned bad - they don't know...they just need to care about getting my HCG levels down

11 - Continue Acupuncture, Meditation and Yoga

Next Steps = More betas until it reaches 2.8 and give them my med inventory

  • So glad you got some answers.

Just to let you know, my P4 is always low. I was on crinone 3x/day for the first 10w and then decreased to 2 then 1. Crinone cannot be measured in the bloodstream, but goes straight to the source.  I'm sure you probably already know this, but just wanted to let you know that I think crinone is what actually did the trick for me. I did PIO and the suppositories before and my P4 never rose appropriately, so my RE thinks that my blood does not metabolize supplements for P4 as it should.  Therefore, crinone was a miracle as it just goes straight to the uterus. Thought I would share! Best of luck with your next cycle.

    just a couple of comments/?'s

    - if you don't have a d/x'ed clotting issue, i would ask why you would be on lovenox.  did you do clotting/rpl issue testing done?  do you know which mutations you have.

    - if you don't have any mutations i would rec adding baby aspirin and not lovenox

    - in terms of intralipids, did you have immune testing done and have an immune issue?  intralipids are great and very easy infusion but if you don't have a known immune issue they could calm uterus too much and you need some irritation (not appropriate word but blanking on term Dr. B used) for implantation.

if you don't have any known immune issues i would ask about just adding a steroid to your protocol (dexamethasone, prednisone, medrol, etc)

    GL cutie :)
