Any bread bakers?

I have a question for you...
I have a sourdough bread starter that is ready to be baked today. I forgot to pick up bread flour at the store, so all I've got is all-purpose and whole wheat. Is it a big deal if I don't use bread flour or should I wait until I have it?

  • It wouldn't worry about it with a sourdough.

    Did you make your starter yourself?  Yeast or no yeast?  

    I've been working on a completely yeast free one for about 6 weeks now... I think it's just about ready!  I'm so excited!

    Wow, that sounds impressive! Although I have absolutely no idea what it means. 6 weeks? Explain it Hannnah!

  • It's a family recipe and my cousin gave me the starter last weekend. It does have yeast in it. I'm going to do a honey wheat version that my cousin recommended. We'll see how it turns out!
