I actually had to work and do homework today. It left me practically no time to bump and now my eyes are burning from being so tired that I can barely see what I am typing.
I am so ready for this semester to be over so I can enjoy the 2 hours I have at night at home and with my family. I also want to throat punch my DH because I am jealous that he can come home, snuggle with DD, then play video games until he is ready to pass out.
End whine. I just had to.
Re: :whimpers: Someone hold me.
Aw you poor thing. Is this semester your last?
I say give DH the throat punch. I bet it will make you feel better.
Unfortunately, this is not my last semester. I am on the 10 year plan... and the stinger - my baby sister is graduating this semester with dual majors and she is 4 years younger than me. Ouch.
He is sitting next to me. To throat punch or not, that is the question.
Ouch. I feel your pain. All the annoying girls at my work are talking about graduating, and I am not even close. Although the in the time that I have spent in college I could have graduated twice already. What are you going to school for?
If not a throat punch... maybe just an elbow jab? A wet willie?
One of the things I always hated when I was in school was that homework was constantly in the back of my mind, always needing to be done. And when I finished school and worked full time, I really appreciated being able to leave work behind, come home, and completely relax. Hope you get there soon!
BTW, where do you go to school?
Annoying girls who are graduating are the worst. LOL
I am going for Business Administration, but if you go by the length of time I should be a doctor... I kid I kid. How 'bout yourself? How long have you been in?
I'm leaning towards a purple nurple. He says they sting so this should be fun.
I could seriously be a Dr. too! Its depressing. I'm going for nursing. Eventually want to get my Masters and become a midwife. I've been in since I graduated in 02, although I've sat out the past few semesters because the nursing programs are so damn impacted around here, it's nearly impossible to get in. Oh well.
Ooh purple nurple. I like where your heads at.
::daydreams of such a day:: Ahh, that sounds so wonderful. Eventually I will get there, I just need to keep at it.
I go to ASU. Where did you graduate? What part of the valley are you in?
Good for you!! I thought about nursing, heck I've thought about a lot of programs since starting and have jumped around a few times... I guess I just settled with business. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Have you always wanted to be in nursing?
How much longer do you have, not including going for your masters?
I'm in Tempe, actually. We are surrounded by ASU students in our condo.
You're in Gilbert, right?
I went to ASU for law school, Texas A&M for undergrad.
Tempe is a fun area. Yep, good ole Gilbert, I've lived here my entire life.
Good lord woman, that's a lot of schooling. I have no room to complain!!
A little off topic, I've been wanting to have a get together with AZ bumpies for a while now... thoughts?
Oh, and I meant to say: I totally respect anyone who works and goes to school simultaneously, especially while raising a child (or children). My parents both did that while my sister and I were growing up. In addition to giving them better career opportunities to provide for our family, it also showed us how important education is. After all, it was worth it to my parents to juggle all those things to make sure they got their degrees.
And it was really important to my dad that my sister and I focus on school. So he and my mom went to great lengths so that we didn't have to work through college. I know I had it easy because of that, and I admire anyone who manages work/school/kids every day.
You will get through it, and you will be so proud. And your LO will be proud of mama, too!
Oh, an AZ Bumpie GTG would be fun! Every once in a while I notice another bumpie from AZ, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
No, I wanted to be about a million different things, including a marine biologist, a lawyer, a teacher, and an actress on broadway. lol I have only 2 years to get my RN, and then I can get a REAL job. I probably won't go for my masters until after we are finished having kids.
Thanks! It's definitely not an easy thing to manage and I know that I don't have it as hard as most do. I think the hardest thing is the lack of support from family members at times. Both mine and DH's parents did not have to work while they went to school so they don't understand the amount of stress I am under. My parents never "forced" me to go out and get a job, but I wanted to get a jump start on a career so I could gain some experience before I graduated. And although I don't regret the path I took I sometimes think how much nicer it would have been to just experience school all by itself.
Just a few more years and I can enjoy the fruits of my labor :-)
I have seen a few AZ Bumpies too. I have been trying to meet up with Aubrianarose for a while now but our schedules never seem to allow it. I know AMossy is in AZ as well. I noticed you were in AZ a few weeks ago and can't stop staring at your gorgeous DS in your siggy everytime I see you post!
An actress on Broadway! What stopped you?! I get it, I wanted to go into modeling back in the day but I am embarassed easily and not outgoing enough to go into that line of work. Goodluck on the next two years, I'm sure it will fly by!
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I should be saying the same thing to you on your way towards your Master's! It's really encouraging to see all of these moms on here who are doing it all too (work or SAHM's, school, mommy duties, wife duties, you name it). It's nice to know it can be done and that I am not alone.
Oh and can I nom on Gavin's cheeks, please? so cute!
Thanks! Ryann is just a doll -- I'm jealous that she has better hair than I do!
I think schedules are always going to be hard to coordinate. Weekends are definitely best for me, but that gets tricky, too. In fact, I think I only have one free weekend between now and Memorial Day, now that I think about it. Eh, maybe two.
Thanks! Her hair was particularly unruly today. I had to run over to David's bridal to pick up my bridesmaids dress for a wedding I am in on May 7th and the seamstresses were all tsk tsking me for having her hair in her eyes. I'm so torn over whether to let it grow past this annoying in the eyes and face stage or just cut it and give her bangs. Decisions, decisions.
I agree. I have so much going on in the next two months but weekends are the best for me too. I will have to throw a thread out there in the next few weeks and see if there are any bites.
I just want to thank you ladies for chatting with me during my "off" time. I need to go to sleep now, someone from my insurance company is coming over at 6am to draw my blood for my new life insurance policy. Fun stuff, I know you are all jealous
Have a good night ladies!
I do it all day long, I'd be happy to share! And Ryann is so beautiful as well!
