Could a buzzing feeling be the baby?

This is so silly.  I am 20w1d (anterior placenta), yesterday at work I kept thinking the locator on my badge was going off because I kept feeling this buzz feeling on my left stomach off and on, and my badge was in my left pocket.  I kept checking my badge and didn't feel it vibrating so I was confused.  Today I am not at work and also felt a short little buzz feeling, same location on my left stomach.  I was reading the anterior placenta post below and Katie described a soda popping sensation, I guess I would think it's a buzz or maybe like fizzing soda.  Think it's the baby?

  • I would guess that it probably is, especially if it's in the same location.  You could try drinking some orange juice or sprite (something sugary), and then lay on your side and see if you feel anything.  That's when I knew for sure it was movement and not something else.  Orange juice does the trick every time  :)

  • I had a anterior placenta with DD.  I felt the flutters and the sensation you describe much earlier, but it was certainly the baby.  It will get stronger in a week or two.  I think I was around 14-15 weeks when I first felt it occasionally.  By 17 weeks, I was sure of it.  Enjoy it!
