My dad has colon cancer :(

My dad went in for his routine physical which included a colonoscopy on Friday and after biopsy of some cells they determined colon cancer. We will find out even more tomorrow after a CT scan the stage of cancer and to see if it has spread, but if you could spare some dust we could really use it. All we know right now besides the cancer diagnosis is they are trying to schedule his surgery for sometime this week. Thanks.

I'm so sorry Rina. But THANK GOODNESS he had that colonoscopy - so many men won't do it because they don't like the idea of it.

My dad had colon cancer a few years ago which they found during a routine colonoscopy. He did have to have major surgery, but they were able to get it all without having to do any other treatments.

I'm so sorry. It's so hard to see your parents go through something like this. My prayers are with you.

My mom has had several major health issues (thyroid cancer, 2 hip replacements, the list goes on) and my advice to you is to take one day, one appointment at a time. For me, that was all I could handle. Hopefully, the news will just get better as you go along. We are all here if you need us!

Oh Rina- I'm so sorry. I will definitely send dust your way. I know when I found out my Dad had esophogeal (throat) cancer I thought it was a death sentence. After a series of radiation however, he's been cancer free for 5 years. People do get better!
