what wrap to choose?

What wrap would you buy for someone else? Similar to Moby but I have heard some bad reviews about the moby so not sure that what one I should get her. She is very young and petite not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks

Re: what wrap to choose?

  • is the only reason for no moby the bad reviews? ive never heard bad ones and mine's a god-send. i also have a vatanai woven since shes getting bigger and i like back carries. but seriously the moby's like the sand man around here

  • Ive read it can cause hip problems. The baby will be born any day now and someone told me it might get to warm.
  • As long as you aren't doing a hold with the Moby that involves the baby's weight being supported at the hips the Moby shouldn't cause hip problems. The carries that you usually see with a Moby are fine (Front Wrap Cross Carry). Have her look up some videos on youtube. All of the stretchy wraps are pretty warm in the summer, from what I have heard, but if that is what you are looking at getting I would go with the Moby or the K'tan. The K'tan is prewrapped, kind of. You don't have to wrap it, it just has a place to put the baby into. I have heard that this can be less hot because it doesn't have as much fabric. I still got the Moby though, even though I will have a summer baby, because it is more versatile than the K'tan.
