Preemies
F/U: Physical Therapy Screening
Kayden's pedi. and NICU dr. both recommended we take her to a physical therapy screening. The therapist observed her head control, eye movement, and flexibility. Overall, she said that Kayden looked good for her adjusted age. Her official write up will be sent in the mail later, but here are the things that we will work on for the home program.
1. Tummy Time 4-5 times a day.
2. Sidelying for play with a toy in front.
3. Midline Skills: Moving head from the middle, then all the way to the right, back to the center, and all the way to the left.
4. Sitting on the floor or lap. supporting her at the shoulders, gently leaning her body forward, backwards, and side to side as she works on lifting her head upright.
The therapist wants to see Kayden in 6 weeks for a follow up. We just need to work with her to make sure she continues to make progress.
