I'm having my husband make me a playlist for L&D but i can't decide if I want to be pumped up or mellowed out. So, what songs are you putting on your list?
I went the mellow route and just put a bunch of artists on there -- Adele, Jack Johnson, The Beatles lullabies, Rockabye lullabies (No Doubt & Green Day), Michael Buble, Dashboard Confessional... and I decided if I am in a different mood, I can just set my iPod to play whatever else is on there.

Mellow for me. My DH was looking at my list and complaining I didn't have any "good" music on the list, but for me it's all about Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Russell Watson.
I kept others too, but nothing that is too amped up or exciting.
I already have hypertension, I need to be as relaxed as possible in the delivery room.
I made a cd for DS's birth. When I got to the hospital after being in labor for about 10 hours at home I put the CD in. I only listened to like 2 songs and then I ended up wanting it really quiet in the room. It's funny how things change once you really get in to the hospital. What was on the cd was mellow music though.

I have a playlist of songs that I like but hopefully I'll be listening to the relaxation tunes from all the hypnobirth/hypnobabies CDs.
I'm also desperately trying to stop watching all the TV episodes that I enjoy on Netflix just to have something to watch after the birth in case I get bored.
LOL at me "in case I get bored" after birthing' babies....

I don't know if I'll want mellow or more upbeat music, so we're planning to use Pandora and then we can tailor it to whatever I want at the time
This is what I did. I had Pandora on a pretty mellow station for the time I was "chillin'" on pitocin (my contractions were very mild for about 8 hours, didn't really feel them, though I was 7 cm and fully effaced). We had to shut down the laptop when they came to break my water because they needed the room to get access to my bed, but I wouldn't have noticed any music at that point anyway because everything happened so fast from there.
