we did! the sirens woke me up, DH had been up watching the news and DD woke up screaming, we took her down and calmed her down and I nursed her, he was staring at the pretty colors on the Doppler last night and a zombie.... we put her back to bed when it was over and was out like a light... i hope she is behaving at daycare today!
Yeah, our weather peeps are slightly over-dramatic, but those were some nasty storms last night. Better safe than sorry, I say! We were down there for an hour or so.

We basically did the same thing except we all fell asleep together on our old couch until 3:00 am.
We did, the forecast for high winds, the high temp outside, and fast pace of the storm made me uncomfortable. I get the weather alerts on my phone and it was dinging left and right, so we decided to head down. Neither kids nor parents slept at all, and we came up after about an hour or so. Poor DH only got about 2.5 hrs of sleep last night and had to work today.
I just didn't feel comfortable taking the risk and I wasn't able to sleep anyway.
My H was up watching the doppler and woke me up before the severe storms hit our area and we took DS and went down for about 30 minutes until we saw it was past. Made us think we need to hurry and get a couch down there for next time

Baby Sister is coming soon!
I did, better safe than sorry! DH was a work, so I was nervous about it being home alone. We headed back upstairs after about an hour. Of course Levi woke up once I got Noah back to sleep...so I was up for awhile!
I think we woke up after the sirens had been going off for quite a while, but before the storm hit. It was kind of unsettling to hear the sirens going off, but not other indication of a storm outside. So, we woke up and went down to the basement for about a half hour where we sat in folding chairs and DD was restless and WIDE AWAKE.
I did. I wasn't super worried about it, but we did have a warning in our county and then we lost power, so we weren't able to keep tabs on what the storm was doing. Also, the sirens went off too. If the power hadn't gone out and we had been able to keep an eye on the news, we might have just left them in bed- actually I wish we would have since Charlotte didn't end up going back to sleep until long after the storm passed. Ugh. Long night. Oh well, better safe than sorry.

No basement in the new house, but they told everyone in Boone County to take cover, and we did.
Went to the bathroom (center of house, no windows). I put DD's comforter in the bottom of the tub, and then we laid her in it. She never woke up!
We were there for about 30-45 minutes.
I'm glad we did. Honestly, the storm woke me up, and when I looked out our bedroom window it was the worst storm I ever remember being in. As in, actually being in the middle of. We lost 5 trees, including one really tall one about 20 feet from ours & DD's bedrooms, but it fell the other way.
We did. We live in Boone County and are in the "yellow box" area they were showing last night. We are only a couple miles north of the welcome center that was destroyed. That storm made me nervous and I think we were very lucky when I see some of the damage that there is.
Since we don't have a basement we moved the the laundry room. My parents are staying with us and we sent them to the guest bath since it's the only other room without windows.
Carter slept in my arms for about a half hour before he got restless and then he slept in the laundry basket of clean clothes. He never woke up in the hour that we were in there and slept peacefully the rest of the night.
We did, I was expecting it to be much worse here in Butler County judging from the news and they were freaking me out! Ethan slept on my chest for awhile and we set up his old pack and play, he woke up and wanted to sit in it and build blocks. He went to bed right after, but he wanted to sleep with us and he is all over me when he does, so I didn't get much rest.

We did, we live very close to Florence, so we took cover when they told us to. Bad storms totally freak me out!
We went to our family room, which is also DS's play room. So from 1 am to 3 am he thought it was playtime until he wore himself out. We wound up just sleeping down there. Our laundry room is also in our basement, which is where our 3 dogs were.
Also, I'm glad I wasn't as worried about it while it was happening b/c if I had known how bad it was I would have been freaking out! We also live very close to the rest area that was destroyed, it's only 1 exit down from us on 75. I really dislike storms and with losing power on top of it... I'm actually surprised I held it together to be honest, and in hindsight, it was probably only because I had Charlotte to distract me (the other two slept through it, thankfully).
