I feel like I am wearing a diaper

I'm in the process of naturally miscarrying. I don't think I've worn a pad since I was in 7th grade, and I seriouslly cannot stand this. I feel so disgusting and gross. I didn't even go to work today because the bleeding is so heavy. Having a m/c is emotionally draining and taxing as it is, but the whole no tamnpon rule just puts the icing on the cake. If you have been in a similar situation, how long did your bleeding last? I really just want to get passed this so that I can finally move on!

Big hugs hun. When I had my m/c I bled for 14 days exactly. The first week was fairly heavy and it started to slow down after that with the last day being only spotting. I started wearing the Always Infinity for heavy flow and they were a god send. They are very thin, but still VERY absorbant. I know how you feel though. I've been a tampon girl since I started my period so having to wear a pad was awful. I hope your bleeding starts to lighten up soon. (Hugs)

Big ((hugs)) and I'm so sorry for what you are going through.

I didn't M/C naturally, but I had two weeks of light and later heavy bleeding before my D&C and about 6 days after the D&C. During that time I came to rely on the Always Infinity - much less like a diaper and you can rely on it.

I had a D&C and had heavy bleeding for a couple days, then light bleeding for about a week and a half. For those first couple days, though, I kinda wished I had a diaper to wear! I hadn't used pads in about 13 years, and I was so worried I was going to leak, especially at night. Like the PP's, I used the Always Infinity pads.

I am a HUGE proponent of the Always Infinity pads. Glad to know other women are using them.

I remember before my D&C standing in the pad/tampon aisle near tears because I had no idea what to buy. I hadn't bought pads in over 10 years. Thank goodness a lot has changed since then.

I know it sucks. I felt the same way about having to wear a pad. I bled for like 2 weeks but the really horrible bleeding was only one day. I passed a couple clots the day after but it was like a regular period the rest of the time.

I know how ya feel. I have always wore a light pad when AF was here. But with the m/c having to wear something thicker just sucked.

Agreed! I've never worn a pad before and it is absolutely horrible! I feel like I waddle around. It's been 4 days since my natural m/c and I'm too scared to start using a thinner pad, becuase once in awhile there will be a gush of blood... hate it, hate it, HATE IT!

I haven't had real heavy bleeding more like AF bleeding for about a week tapering off to more like spotting and needing to wear a pantyliner. I also wore always infinity after seeing some people on here recommend them. I was really scared to leak and actually slept with a towel under me for a few nights. The always weren't very thick or irritating.

My natural m/c took about 10 days. The 2 week post-m/c check up really helped me move along with healing.

So so so sorry for your loss. It seems it can't get much worse, and then a heavy day of bleeding sets in for me. I just hate it. I had my Grandpa's funeral and was wearing black pants, a thong, and a diaper. And, I was riding with my VERY inconsiderate naive SIL, who would not stop talking about being pregnant. The diaper thing and being uncomfortable almost pushed me over the edge. I could have strangled her. It is just the icing on the cake. I'm on day 19 and still bleeding light, more than spotting. I've had 3 days of passing clots, spaced 2 weeks apart. My body is killing me, I hope I'm in the minority. I hadn't had a period for 6-7 months when I got pregnant, so I think that may have something to do with this long bleeding. Good luck.
