*** Sage Beginnings****

I saw that you have a sheet on how to best work with your odds for a VBAC?  I am 38 weeks tomorrow and am hoping beyond hope that I will get the vbac.  My doctor is hopefull but he still said that the stars have to align and she has to progress.  I have to progress.

I am walking.  Drinking lOADS of water.  I bought an exercise ball.  I would love any input you have.  :-)

TIA!

  • Oh, I am so hopeful for you! :)Here is the big hand-out that I give moms who are working toward VBAC.

The biggest two pointers I can give you is PATIENCE and SUPPORT. Being patient to allow your body time to birth is so important. And also, making sure that you have, not just good, but EXCELLENT support is also very important - partner, mom, doctor, nurse, doula, BF, EVERYONE there needs to be your steadfast support in all of it!

Is your cervix still closed and firm? You could try EPO.

Is your baby still high? You can try acupuncture and chiropractic.

Are you nervous? Try relaxing, stress can actually inhibit dilation and spontaneous labor.

I have worked with many women with many beautiful VBACs - I believe you can do this! I believe your body can do this. :) Feel free to PM me if you want to talk.
