Stopped pills mid-cycle, pregnant already?

This is my first post, and I'm just wondering what other people's experiences have been with this.I just stopped the pill (mid-cycle) at the end of March because of bad side effects. I've had sex a couple times since then, and now have been experiencing nausea off and on all day for the past 4-5 days. I didn't think I was very likely to get pregnant so soon after stopping the pill. Everything I've read says it takes several months. I haven't taken a test yet as I think it's too early.  Has anyone gotten pregnant after pills that fast? Or is it just side effects from stopping the pills?

  • I stopped the pill mid cycle as well around Jan 8th or so, and figured it would take several months to get pregnant as well.  Big surprise!! Our little one was conceived something like two weeks later, and we are almost 11 weeks. Had no idea it would be that quick, I never even had a period.  I was tracking my CM and BBT as well, and never even had any noticeable egg-white CM! Good luck!

  • Congrats! That's amazing it was so easy for you. I am really anxious to find out for sure, partly because we weren't really trying. We were talking about TTC but had decided to push it back a bit for financial reasons. I was tracking CM and BBT too as practice and haven't noticed any change in CM though BBT is a bit higher.

  • I too thought it would take a few months at least to conceive. I stopped taking the pill a day or two before our wedding, we both figured we'd have at least a few months to develope a better exercise routine, take vitamins and get all my vaccines up to date....WRONG! we conveiced on our honeymoon! I'm not even kidding! the timing is so close that most people think i got married pregnant (i'm positive this is not the case, not that there is anything wrong with it though).
