Got my acupuncture today!

My friend said she'd start treating me at 36/37 weeks so I got my first one today. It was amazing that as she agitated certain points my uterus contracted.  I can tell those points really do something!  She was showing me some points on my legs I could press too and when she pressed on them everything tightened up instantly. 

I guess I shouldn't be surprised it can be so effective since I'm convinced that it was her fertility treatments that got me pregnant in the first place after almost a year of trying! She said she won't do anything too aggressive until I'm 40 weeks and that nothing will come of it if my body isn't ready but that every little bit can help.  Here's hoping!

    It sounds great.  I am planning on doing some too!  I am 20 weeks today so may be a bit early to start.  Were you recommended a time in which to start?

    I'm not sure really...I know people get it throughout pregnancy for different reasons like positioning or pain.  My friend said around 36 weeks is when she starts for helping things progress...not sure what that really means though!

    Hope it works for you!  I tried acupuncture a week or so before DS was born, and then had a reflexology session the day before.  Don't know if that was what did it or not, but I don't discount all the pressure points that they both told me about (and we worked on at home).

    Glad to hear it went well!  I'm excited to try acupuncture towards the end.  It's high up on my list of things to do to get things moving.
