Katy Area Pediatrician

I'm starting to look into pediatricians. Who do you use and love? And Why?

Re: Katy Area Pediatrician

  • I use Dr. Agnes Kisch.  She is in the professional buildings at Christus St. Catherine.

She is very nice, understanding, and thorough.  She has always been willing to get me in on weekends or before or after hours if I needed it.  The kids love her.  Her office staff is great, too.

Ditto!  I absolutely love her.  She's an old-school kind of doc and really cares about her patients.  Your child is not just another $ to her.  Her nurse is also awesome.  I call there anytime I have a concern and they are great.  Dr. Kisch personally met me in her office on a Sunday after I called her Sunday morning concerned that my daughter had croup (and she did).  Can't recommend her enough!  If you are delivering at MH Katy, she will come there to see your baby as well as Christus.

  • Another vote for Dr Kisch. We rather miss her now that we've moved.

She never, ever makes you feel rushed, which is a really big thing to me. I hate that. She's definitely very thorough and interested.

  • Did you guys meet her prior to delivery?

She sounds great. I'll definitely have to look into her further.

And yes, I'm delivering at MHKaty, so it'd be nice to have her come see the baby in the hospital.

  • Yes I did interview her prior to delivery.  Honestly though, for me, it probably wasn't really necessary.

I did an interview but didn't need it. She saw Olivia had MHKaty. She is OSM.

  • I did not meet her before I had Alex.  She was the on call pedi at the hospital I delivered at.  The dr I planned on using didn't go to that hospital.

  • Another vote for Dr. Kisch.

We did not meet with her prior to seeing her at the hospital after DS's birth. DH did call the office to ask a couple of questions and the nurse who answered is what really won us over. He was very impressed with the knowledge she had. Not one of thoses where she had to consult the Dr. first. Also they are very good about getting you in the day of if need be and Dr, Kisch told us just this past week , when I was telling her about a friend who took her son to Urgent Care for pink eye since it was after 5 , that we can call her first to be seen after hours.

  • Yet another Dr. Kisch fan here!!!  We LOVE her and her staff.  She started seeing Madeline as soon as we brought her home from her 88 day NICU stay.  We had lots of extra visits because of Maddy's micro-preemie beginnings and we have never had a bad experience with her in the 3+ years since.  Madeline gets excited when she knows we are going to see Dr. Kisch ... so that is a great endorsement as well!
