Thank you!! Our goal was to get out the door with C by 8:00am, and we made it out by 8:20, so that's not too bad. Starting tomorrow, DH will take C to daycare in the morning, so I will be out the door much earlier so I can make it back to pick him up in time.
I'm doing OK, just getting adjusted. My computer keyboard batteries were dead, so I had to recharge them. I'm about to head down to the lactation room (about 1/5 hours later than I had originally planned, but oh well).
I think my breakdown the other night got a lot of my big emotions surrounding returning to work out. I'm feeling pretty good, but I do miss my little man!
Our timing has been uncanny, hasn't it? Are you back full-time now, or are you transitioning a bit? I'm only working 2 days this week and 3 next week to kind of get in the groove a bit more before I jump in full-time.
My boss has given me the OK to take the next 5 Wednesdays off, so that's good. I might take advantage of all 5 Wednesdays, or I might just do a few, I'll see how it goes. Not only is it tough to be away from him, going back to full weeks of work might put me in a state of shock!
