Ohhh I am so Erked!

I just came back from what was suppose to be my first appointment.  After sitting in the waiting area for 1 whole hr they tell me the DR is not in and I have to re-schedule. I asked her why were the patients not informed so that we would not have to make this trip? Oh, her answer was, "we are too busy"  ... Interesting! To make matters worse they can not give me another appointment til May which means that I will be almost in my 2nd trimester!

I am so upset Sad I had my hopes up to maybe hear the heart beat or get an U/S to see my baby... sucks!

    ohhh... I would have went off on their a$$. That is so incredibly rude!!! I waited an hour and a half but at least i saw the doctor. I didn't get an ultrasound and deeply disappointed. Hang in there.

    If you are not set on your Dr office maybe you should consider switching. This is your first apt and they are making you wait at least another 2 weeks and thats after you sat for an hour this morning. I hope you would never need them in an urgent setting.

    I would not feel comfortable and would be calling another doctor's office :)

    Wow that is not cool and would not fly with me. I would either ask the doctor to call you or find another office. Sorry that happened to you!

    I am so sorry!  I would be absolutely irate!  If you can, I would switch.  Imagine how many more times that will happen to you throughout your pregnancy.

    I think the lack of professionalism in the front desk staff would have me either talking to the doctor or switching doctors completely.  No I would just switch doctors completely.  Maybe to a practice with at least a couple docs so when one has to be out the other can take over.

    I really do want to switch but dont know many DR's in the area.  I called the nearest hospital but they can't see me until the second week of May which is worse.  They do have other DR's in this clinic but the only one there had 46 patients for today alone.  Makes no sense!  I truly hope I find a DR quick!

    I would switch, especially since they can't see you until May and if you plan on doing the NT scan. That's BS.....

    Oh, that really stinks!!!!  I feel so bad...and mad...for you!  That's just unacceptable.  They should at the very least be able to reschedule you with SOMEONE while you are still in your first tri! =(
