Does your LO hate their crib?

Because mine does.  We put him back in his rock n play the past week because he had a cold, and now he will not sleep in his crib!  He has always been a terrible sleeper, but he won't last 30 mins in his crib at night.  We are going to do sleep training here in a few weeks, but I can't decide if I should keep him in the rock n play now or keep working on the crib.  He can't sleep in it forever!

  • Unfortunately I don't know what you're going through.  DS has slept in his crib since night 2, and he loves it.

I would say keep working on the crib.  Allowing him to sleep in something else at this point would just be back peddleing and making the issue worse... IMO.

    GOod luck momma!

  • Yes, my babe definitely hates her crib.  We are try everyday to make it a happy place where she will want to be.  I think we are getting closer to moving her in there, at least I hope we are.

  • Yes!  We are having an awful time with sleep training.

  • I can't say my LO hates the crib but he doesn't sleep long in it. 5 or 6 hours max. When I'm desperate for sleep or not feeling well I let him sleep in the swing. He loves it there and goes about 11 hours. He's about to hit the weight limit. He's almost 21 pounds and it's 25 max. I'm trying to give/sell the swing so I don't have the option. Sleep is just so amazing. Wish I had some help.

  • When we transitioned to crib I focused on just naps.  That way I was awake and happy to deal with it.  He usually naps 1-3 hours, so if he woke up before the hour mark I'd go put him back in the crib.  Once he mastered napping in his crib, night time was no issue.

It did take about 3 weeks, and he was only 4 months old.
