Huggies Pure & Natural Diaper ?

I have a coupon for these diapers and am interested on any feedback you may have if you have used them before.  The newborn size runs up to 10lbs.  My first DS weighed 9.5lbs at birth so i am not sure if i should just skip the newborn size this time around. Do they run small/big/just right?  Have you had any issues with leaks?  Thanks!

Re: Huggies Pure & Natural Diaper ?

  • I love the Pure and Naturals.  I tried Pampers swaddlers and Up and Up and these are the best.  I would skip the newborn size, they seem to run a little small to me.  We recently tried the regular Huggies and they seem to be a little bigger.  DD was 8 lbs 9 oz at birth and had to go right to size ones, they couldn't even put her in newborns at the hospital.  Hope this helps!

  • I love the pure and naturals. i've tried just about every brand/type of diaper thus far and they are my favorite. I haven't had any issues with leaks at all with DD. The posts I've read about leaking seem to come mostly from moms with boys. I don't know if there are actually more leaks with boys, but it seems to be the case.  They ran true to size for us.

  • We hated them.  Every poop would be a blowout and they did leak for us.  Pampers have been the best for us so far.

  • These seem to be the same as Pampers swaddlers - so far so good. DD was 9lbs3oz and the hospital went straight to size 1 pampers. With newborn sizes you get the umbilical cord cut-out, but the hospital showed me how to just fold over the first band of the diaper until the cord falls off. I'd go straight to size 1's (they're usually cheaper too), whatever you decide.

  • I really liked those with DD#1.  I haven't used them yet with DD#2.  No leak problems here.  Huggies always seem to run a little small to me compared to Pampers.  My DD#2 was is 10.6 lbs right now and the Huggies size 1 fit just right whereas the Swaddlers size 1 are still pretty big on her.

  • They seem to run big for me compared to Pampers in the Newborn size.  My son was 6lbs 13oz and had a blowout or leak with every one that I put him in.  I have held on to them to try again when he gets a little larger.  May depend on the size of the baby.

  • Ohh, these are my favorite diapers, but they are expensive.  I only get them if I have a really great coupon because they are def not the most cost effective.
