Just seeing the sun today reminds me maybe I should get a sun hat since I have most of the summer off! I see that lands end is having a sale today, but I don't see any cute ones. Now I am wondering if I even need one!
Seeing how you are 35 weeks pregnant...you might not get much use out of one this summer, but next year for sure. We spend a good amount of time outside and I have one and all of my kids have one.
Mama to Z - 5.5 years, G - 3.5 years, & M - 1.5 years.
I never have, but I'm thinking of getting one for this summer since I'll be six-eight months pregnant over the summer :-( boo! I'm hoping if I get a big floppy one, it'll help me stay cool ;-)
I am thinking of getting one for the summer since I have fair skin, and my face will turn into one giant freckle if I get too much sun. Last summer kinda sucked, but usually it gets pretty hot in the summer.

I was hoping to spend some time outdoors since I have the summer off, but I guess your right since I will be a newborn that is probably just wishfull thinking! Oh well!!
I've never worn a hat in summer, except maybe a baseball cap and only once or twice (my head's too big for them). :-) I sweat a LOT if my head is covered, though, and I don't really burn. It's never occurred to me to get a sun hat, to be honest. We have a couple for baby already, though.

I'm not sure I understand. Why wouldn't you get outside with a newborn? I would have been thrilled to have a summer baby so I could go out for walks and all instead of being cooped up in the doom and gloom and rain.
Newborns don't care where they are so as long as you have a great sun shade on your stroller, get outside and enjoy it!!

I don't know what's realistic since I'm not a mom yet!
I'm glad to hear that my ideas weren't that crazy! I hope it's a nice summer!!

My DD was born the last day of June and we spend almost everyday outside. Lots of walks to help get rid of the baby weight & cabin fever.
I should! I use a lot of sunscreen and lost both of my hats last summer, so I definitely need new ones, since I always sunburn the part in my hair. I have 3 hats already for E, and a good sunshade on the stroller. Bring on the sunshine!
