My church is having an Easter egg hunt and picnic at a member's house next Saturday. I don't think I know the member and am not familiar with their house (or location). DH is working, so if I go, I'd be taking DDs by myself. This is one time I'm not a fan of having two because the logistics of taking and keeping up with two are so difficult. Oh, and I don't really have any other non-kid friends that I could drag along as an extra handler.

Re: WWYD-Easter Egg hunt (clicky)?
Absolutely! We're going to an egg hunt, probably by ourselves, on Saturday. Even if a friend does come, she has 3 kids of her own and won't be able to help me with the duo at all. Giant open field, lots of crazy kids, no fences... should be interesting.
We may end up leaving after only a little bit, but then again it may go much better than I expect. You never know until you try.
Then again, I have to take them to things like this by myself for a while, or we'd never go anywhere at all, so that does make a difference in how I would handle things.
But seriously, just try it. If it's a disaster, then just leave early. People will understand. If it works out, then great! You'll feel like you can do anything after that.
Absolutely! I voted yes
And at church event... always lots of extra hands. (I would think)
**edit.
i'd assume someone at the egg hunt would help out with the kids... my big worry would be if things were semi-child proof... b/c it's NOT fun to be out somewhere that they are in danger every minute we are there.
