Or do you need to use maternity panty hose? I'd like to wear some with a dress on Easter. I'd be going for a nude color if that makes any difference. I would imagine the ones at Motherhood might be more pricey. Can I get them at Walgreens, Kohls, JCP?

I have a pair from Motherhood also, I don't think they were very expensive. You definitely need to do maternity hose, I can't imagine trying to get nonmaternity hose over my belly - OUCH!
although I do love the idea of thigh highs!
I'm not sure if it's an old wives tale or not but I've heard that wearing thigh and knee high hose during pregnancy can cause varicose veins due to circulation issues. Every women in my family has terrible varicose veins so I'm super paranoid about anything I hear COULD cause them, so take that with a grain of salt.
I had maternity tights from Motherhood that I thought were pretty good quality.
At this point I'd just go for thigh highs. Anything tight around my abdomen is a no-go!
If your nervous about varicose veins I would definatly get compression socks. I got them for when I flew over to England 3 weeks ago. My doctor suggested them and said that these socks are for diabetics and people who are one their feet all day. On the package it says for people who have problems with varicose veins - I dont but the pressure actually helps prevent them not cause them.
Also I got mine panty hose at Motherhood there were pretty reasonable at like $6-8 bucks. I havent seen maternity hosery anywhere besides a maternity store and believe me I looked.
