At 25w my LO is weighing in at 2lbs?!

in Pregnant after a Loss
Is that a lot? He's measuring a wk ahead, but still..! In the last 4w the drs say he's gained about a pound, maybe a little less. I can't find any good online info about this. Is this normal?

    Hmm, I don't know.  I had an ultrasound with my son at 30 weeks and he was weighing 3lbs 10 oz.  He was 8 lbs even when he was born at 40 w 1 day.

    I have no clue. My LO weighed 1.9 lbs at 24w5d and was inn the 40something percentile for growth, overall right on for GA. LO has always measured exact or a day or too behind so I have no experience with measuring ahead.

    Hmm, maybe its not so much as I first thought. My 1st instinct was we hopefully still have 15w left, slow down. But maybe its ok afterall..!

    This is by U/S right?  They can be off as much as a pound in either direction I believe.  At 38 weeks they said DS weighed 6lbs 10 oz and he was born a week later weighing at 8lbs 1lb.  They were wrong.  If they were not concerned then I would try not to worry about it.

    Ya, I think it's probably right on track.  I know I was a little shocked by my son's weight at that ultrasound, but it also made me feel better to know he was a decent weight, if for some reason he would come early.

    My iPregnancy app says that the range for 25 weeks is 1 lb, 1oz to 2 lb, 10 oz.

    I'm sure it's fine! Did your Dr. seem concerned?  I'm sure my little fatty isn't too far behind.

    I've also heard that the u/s guesstimates have a lot of wiggle room.

    We were told LO was 13 oz. at 20w & that she was 1.5 lb. at 22w...I was worried just like you were that we're on track for a 15 lb. newborn!!!  ;)  But I don't think it's anything to take too seriously as long as all of the measurements look good.

    Those u/s can be up to 50% off in either direction. My bff was told at 38wks she had to induce because he was over 9lbs and she did, and birthed a 7lb13oz baby.

    No that's pretty much right on track!  Maybe a tiny bit ahead :) good news anyways!

    I was just reading my Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy for this week (26) and it said baby should weigh in between 1.5 an 2 lbs at this point, sounds like you're in good shape, especially considering the wiggle room in an u/s estimate.

    Yep, this. I think you just have a little chunker:) Did you get another u/s? I am jealous. I have no clue how much our little guy weighs. I haven't seen him since the anatomy scan take 2.

    Mine weighed 1oz less than 2lbs today.  He was 17oz four weeks ago.  Peri said it's normal.  He's also measuring about a week and a half ahead. 

    ETA: The machine said it had a variance of +/- 4 oz.

    U/S can be off for weight, but I don't think that is a lot. At 28 wks Nicholas was 3lbs and 16 inches, so for me that sounds correct.

    Ok I must be a loon! My MFM wanted me to move up my GTT b/c I'm on the high end of normal in regards to fluid around the baby so now I'm worried about GD naturally and the big babies that come along with that..IDK, I just want to take that dumb test and get it over with!

    A friend of mine told me today that at 28 w her baby is measuring 2.5lbs so I think your little one is on track.

    No clue what my LO weighs, but I've heard that's about where I can expect her to weigh at this point.  No worries.
