Do your hormones go nuts before you O?

I'm just curious...I feel like now that I pay attention to when I O, I noticed that I almost have PMS-like symptoms before. I feel like I'm very emotional and short tempered. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a scientific explanation for this?

    Not usually I think, but if I O'd yestetday, maybe that would explain why I was a crying idiot over our landscape plan last night.

    I think I get moody around O time because I'm anxious to O!  The stress is worse than the 2ww for me.

    I definitely notice a hormonal shift around O. ?I get a little cramping and I get sore boobs right afterward... it does feel a bit like a mini-PMS to me.

    Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

    IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

    Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

    I get very emotional around O. Almost worse than when I am PMSing. I've been crying at everything today!

    yes, I'm often SUPER irritable...especially with DH. Embarrassed
