WWYD-Easter Egg hunt (clicky)?

My church is having an Easter egg hunt and picnic at a member's house next Saturday.  I don't think I know the member and am not familiar with their house (or location).  DH is working, so if I go, I'd be taking DDs by myself.  This is one time I'm not a fan of having two because the logistics of taking and keeping up with two are so difficult.  Oh, and I don't really have any other non-kid friends that I could drag along as an extra handler.

    I'd do a drive by the house and see if their yard is fenced in...otherwise I wouldn't go alone with my 2...one of them would be across the street hiding in a neighbors yard somewhere in no time...

    Absolutely!  We're going to an egg hunt, probably by ourselves, on Saturday.  Even if a friend does come, she has 3 kids of her own and won't be able to help me with the duo at all.  Giant open field, lots of crazy kids, no fences... should be interesting.  ;)  We may end up leaving after only a little bit, but then again it may go much better than I expect.  You never know until you try. 

    Then again, I have to take them to things like this by myself for a while, or we'd never go anywhere at all, so that does make a difference in how I would handle things. 

    But seriously, just try it.  If it's a disaster, then just leave early.  People will understand.  If it works out, then great!  You'll feel like you can do anything after that.

    I think I would attempt this one - it sounds fun!  I would probably bring our wagon or a stroller that way if it turned into a nightmare then I make a quick exit.

    i'd assume someone at the egg hunt would help out with the kids... my big worry would be if things were semi-child proof... b/c it's NOT fun to be out somewhere that they are in danger every minute we are there.

     

    I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
