Does anyone have this? We're getting ready to put hardwoods in (we're probably going to go with laminates) our dining room and family room but I'm considering putting them in our master bedroom as well. There is a track of footprints through the bedroom to our bath that drives me crazy so if we don't do that I'm going to have to replace the carpet anyway. I'm wondering about resale too since we plan to leave in about 5 yrs or so. Thoughts?
Thanks!
ETA: We will still have tile in the foyer and kitchen and a carpeted hallway with three bedrooms and a bathroom (bathroom with tile). Our master is on the other side of the house. I'm not sure if that would be strange to have wood in only one of the bedrooms?

I would absolutely replace carpet with a hard surface flooring in your bedroom. It will help cut down on allergies or asthma problems for your family. Carpet traps all that dust and dander and is a dust mite paradise.
We replaced the carpet in our nursery and hall with cork tiles (PIB) and I intended to replace the carpet in the other two bedroom with the same cork. But DH has talked me into moving in 3 yrs, so I won't invest in better flooring now.
I don't think you need to worry about the flooring being different there than in other areas. Variety is nice and you may decide to eventually replace the rest of the carpet with the laminate.
