2nd Trimester

Getting antsy..want to feel my baby move

I know I am only 15 weeks, but I remember how reassuring it always was to feel DS move in there.  I keep forgetting that is coming then will remember at random times and just get impatient.  This is the weirdiest period of pregnancy IMO.  I look about 6 months pregnant, don't feel great, but not as bad as I did in first tri, but there's nothing going on in there that I can feel to remind me regularly that I am carrying a baby.

  • Feeling my second l/o already so it shouldn't be long!!
  • Im going nuts! Just in the last few days Ive been thinking what if something is wrong? I want to call my midwife, but she only is in the office fridays, and its a holiday. I have an ultrasound on Sat, so I know I need to have patience, and really I know all is likely fine, but Im going NUTS!!

It was in this exact kind of moment of desperation that I bought my fetal heart monitor on Ebay. Best 50 bucks ever spent!

  • I didn't feel any movement both times until 20 weeks. I always heard that the second pregnancy you feel sooner but that wasn't the case for me. I know it's tough waiting!
  • I felt movement for the first time at exactly 16 weeks! You're not too far off, but don't get upset if you don't feel it for awhile.  A lot of women don't feel it until 18, 20, even 22 weeks sometimes!

  • I just started feeling flutters int he past couple of days, so it should be soon.  Also if you have an anterior placenta, you will feel it later.

  • I still haven't felt anything and honestly it's only on this board that I have found people who have felt their baby before 20 weeks.  It makes me a feel a little better but I think everyone is different and every pregnancy is different.  It's going to be so awesome when it happens though!
  • I am 20 weeks and still haven't felt my baby move.  I'm not overly concerned.  I had my ultrasound 2 weeks ago and everything was fine, but he didn't really move a lot during the ultrasound and kept his feet up by his head.
  • I'm 16 weeks and haven't felt anything. I went for a checkup yesterday, and my midwife had the doppler on to check the heart rate, and every once in a while we heard a loud "banging noise" against the doppler. After the first time, she said did you hear it kick? And the baby was kicking up a storm but I couldn't feel anything! Can't wait to be able to feel the baby moving around...

  • I felt some fluttery movements around 16 weeks, I'm feeling some much more strong and frequent now.
