I have been around and on the TTC >35 board and IF board. So now I am finding that my AMH is .16 or something low and my FSH is 10.9, not good. I am wondering if there are any success stories from anyone for things like this. Give me some feedback, experiences or something. Good or bad, I need the reality.

Re: Question from TTC>35 board
Our Thanksgiving Day baby 11/22/07
Pregnant with #2 with LPD, uterine polyp/hysteroscopy, DOR (AMH = 0.17), 2 c/ps
Our early Christmas present 12/9/10
Many people have had success with DOR (diminished ovarian reserve). Most people turn to IVF and protocols such as Estrogen Priming Protocol can help with egg quality. I was successful on my 3rd IVF, mostly due to the fact that I was with the wrong RE for the first 2 cycles (I see that in hindsight now). Others choose to go with Donor Eggs or Embryos.
If you are interested in pursuing treatment, it is best to look around your area for someone who specializes in DOR because a lot of clinics don't like taking on harder cases since they could mess with their stats (sad but true).
Also, I have read of studies from people using DHEA, although I have not used it myself, but this is supposed to help as well.
Good luck!
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I have been working with my plan, Kaiser for the IUI's, which I really do not think will work. I have looked into a RE but how do you know if they specialize in DOR??
Thanks for the feedback, it gives me something to go on.

On the SART website you can look up clinics successes in your age group as well as by Dx

I am 39 and my AMH was recently tested and came back at 0.6 and my FSH hasn't been tested for over two years probably but back then was at 9.5. I was a poor responder when I did IVF (I was 36 then) but despite that did get pregnant. We couldn't afford IVF again so we choose to try IUIs despite our RE sort of saying it wasn't worth the money. I got pregnant on our second IUI. So, I guess I just don't put all my faith in the numbers.
I think it's great to be aggressive if you can afford that and are comfortable with it, but I don't think that even if you can't do something like IVF you have other options to explore and I don't think it's hopeless.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
I guess the other part i should include is that I am on an IVF protocol for IUI, meaning I am on the max. 4 menopur and 2 bravelle a night and synarel. I am now 41 and last year prior to consulting RE, I got pregnant on my own in april and miscarried. Now I am on IUI 4 and had no results, maybe this is it?? I am taking folic acid, pnv, Vitamin D, DHEA and baby asprin. Husband is 5 years younger and passes all tests with flying colors!
UGH, just crossing finggers but glad to hear success stories.
