Hi ladies. Some of you may recognize me from TTGP, where I've been posting for over a year. Today is CD1 of cycle 12, and we hit our year mark of TTC about a week ago. I am debating when to call a doc (it would be a new one, since we recently moved) for an appointment. I just haven't psyched myself up for it. I was thinking July to get a few more good cycles in (I relaxed on the charting the last few), but after seeing heavy spotting this morning and feeling the disappointment, I half-way talked myself into calling sooner (DH is supportive either way).
I look forward to dipping my toes in, getting to know the unfamiliar faces, learning from you and offering my support to you all.

Hi BP! I'm so sorry to see you over here and I hope you aren't here for long.
I took the year mark very hard myself. But, I didn't rush right into testing or anything either because I just wasn't there. Do what feels right for you. You will know when that is, I promise. I didn't think I would, but I did. When I moved onto testing with the RE, I just knew it was time.
Good luck!
Hi BP!
GL with your decision, it's not easy to decide either way.

The year mark was hard for me as well. I just never expected to be there, one year later, and still not KU. I am glad I got the initial testing done early on, because it helped me figure out what (if anything) our next step would be, but I made and cancelled a few RE appointments before I was finally ready to take the next step. And even still, I take the occasional break because I just need to step back and reclaim my life.
Good luck with everything!

Welcome! Sorry you have to be here.
Go at your own pace with this. It can get overwhelming at times. It never hurts to start meeting with an RE to become comfortable with the initial plan. Meeting does not mean that you have to start with any treatments or tests you are not ready for. GL!

Sorry you've made your way over, but 3T is a great board full of some awesome chicks!
Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
Sorry that you have to be here, but I agree with Andie.
GL to you!
Hi brookelyn. Welcome to the board.
FWIW I waited a little over a year before seeking help from a RE and wish that I had just gone right after the year mark. If you've been TTC for a solid year then that's a good time to go to the next step. That being said, the testing process can be physically and emotionally draining so you need to do what you feel is right.
Good Luck to you!
Hey there, I hate seeing you over here, but welcome! I've just started posting as well and everyone has been really great, and very imformative. Hopefully you won't be here long...

Welcome I remember you from TTGP, though I wasn't there long (I don't know how you girls do it over there for so long- you are better women than me!)
My experience with making the RE appointment and getting the test was RELIEF. I was so happy to finally feel like we were getting somewhere, that getting pregnant might really happen and that we were in good hands. I know that it's not everyone's experience, but I was ready. I was ready to get the testing done to see what was wrong and ready to move on so we could have our baby.
Good luck, I hope that you can find that comfort- whether you choose to wait a little while longer or make the appt now
