Where are you registering?

We are registered at BRU, but I'm trying to decide another place. I'm thinking about Meijer or something else like that for lots of everyday items might be nice. I wondered where everyone was registering. Wish you could set these up to select more than one.

  • We are planning to register at Buy, Buy Baby.  I'm not sure where else.

  • First time around, we registered at Target and BRU.  BRU was fine at the time, but I'm hearing their return policies kind of suck now.  Target generally has a really bad reputation re: their registry system.  I will probably make a small registry at Buy Buy Baby this time, just to get the completion discount.  Really all we "need" is a new monitor, clothes and possibly a new stroller.

  • Target and BRU. We don't have BBB here, and Walmart has a crappy selection of baby stuff (except clothes) here.

I think we're registering for the bulk of our stuff at Target and BRU. Nowhere else is in our vicinity, and most of our family lives around us. We've got everything picked out, now just need to sit down and register.

  • Target for basics and a local store for a few fancier things like bedding, stroller and a few blankets.
  • I think we are doing BRU and Amazon.

  • I'm very blessed that I'm being given 3 showers (my aunt is throwing me one for the family, a coworker is throwing me one for coworkers/friends, and my bridesmaids are throwing me one with my closest friends).  I will be seeing family and friends from all over the city & beyond.  I definitely don't like everything at BRU, there are several specific things I want from specific stores, and I want to offer choices to everyone who's been asking me where I'm registered at (haven't officially started).  These are the places I'm going to register:

BRU, IKEA, Dear Born Baby, Moms to be and More, and maybe Sears/The Bay?  I also have specific things I would love from some webpages such as Etsy.com.

I know it sounds like a lot, but I've been literally instructred by everyone I know that they want me to register for more things than for less, because "I want to get you something that I like that you'll like/need/want."

Smile This is my first, and I'm lucky and thankful for everyone's generosity.

  • Target and Amazon most likely.

  • We've registered at Target and Babies R Us and....items have been purchased off of both registries already!! So exciting!!

  • We don't have a BBB near us (wish we did!) so we'll be registering at Target and BRU.  I'm not too thrilled about either, especially BRU... but our options are limited! I just think BRU is a pain in the butt to deal with.  I know when I go in to get things off registries they're either impossible to find, or they don't have it.  Very annoying.

  • Amazon, and then probably a local cloth diaper/babywearing store. They have some great stuff that isn't sold anywhere else and we really like supporting local buisnesses. Don't expect many people to actually go there but the owner said she would be happy to help people via phone.

  • We registered at Target, BRU and Amazon. Originally we planned on just going with Target and Amazon, but Target was more limited than I hoped and I wanted a good selection at stores that people could actually go to. I like Amazon because you can register for anything and the price is hard to beat.

We don't have a BBB, so that was not an option.

Just curious, but how did you register at Ikea, I didn't think they had a registry. I've created a shopping list and given it to my mom and MIL, but I couldn't figure out how to do it any other way.

  • Loving the Amazon registry! We also have a few things on a list at BRU, but I'm not that impressed with them.

  • I'm planning on registering primarily at Buy Buy Baby.  We may also register somewhere else for people who are not in our area and don't live close to one.

  • I am very lucky that there are 5 Buy Buy Baby stores within an hour of us, so that is where we are going to register. I'm leery of doing an Amazon registry because I know a lot of people procrastinate on buying shower gifts and a ton of people went shopping the day before or of for our bridal shower.

RE: IKEA - I'm just going to create a list w/ the product code.  I'm going to do this also with the specific webpages...then give it to the hostesses, who will put together a simple list with the registry info & list linfo (and I guess slip it into the invites? Or tell people when they ask?)
