We are registered at BRU, but I'm trying to decide another place. I'm thinking about Meijer or something else like that for lots of everyday items might be nice. I wondered where everyone was registering. Wish you could set these up to select more than one.

I'm very blessed that I'm being given 3 showers (my aunt is throwing me one for the family, a coworker is throwing me one for coworkers/friends, and my bridesmaids are throwing me one with my closest friends). I will be seeing family and friends from all over the city & beyond. I definitely don't like everything at BRU, there are several specific things I want from specific stores, and I want to offer choices to everyone who's been asking me where I'm registered at (haven't officially started). These are the places I'm going to register:
BRU, IKEA, Dear Born Baby, Moms to be and More, and maybe Sears/The Bay? I also have specific things I would love from some webpages such as Etsy.com.
I know it sounds like a lot, but I've been literally instructred by everyone I know that they want me to register for more things than for less, because "I want to get you something that I like that you'll like/need/want."
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
Amazon, and then probably a local cloth diaper/babywearing store. They have some great stuff that isn't sold anywhere else and we really like supporting local buisnesses. Don't expect many people to actually go there but the owner said she would be happy to help people via phone.
We registered at Target, BRU and Amazon. Originally we planned on just going with Target and Amazon, but Target was more limited than I hoped and I wanted a good selection at stores that people could actually go to. I like Amazon because you can register for anything and the price is hard to beat.
We don't have a BBB, so that was not an option.
Just curious, but how did you register at Ikea, I didn't think they had a registry. I've created a shopping list and given it to my mom and MIL, but I couldn't figure out how to do it any other way.
RE: IKEA - I'm just going to create a list w/ the product code. I'm going to do this also with the specific webpages...then give it to the hostesses, who will put together a simple list with the registry info & list linfo (and I guess slip it into the invites? Or tell people when they ask?)
