Recommend your comfy sandals/flip flop

I am in the hunt for comfy flip flop/sandals, I don't think I can wear my rubber sanuk on long events where I'll be doing a lot of walking. I'm looking for modern looking, as in not look like grandma sandals.

Do you have a favorite comfortable-stylish sandal/flip flop you can recommend?

I know you said you don't like rubber flip flops, but the Old Navy rubber ones are my favorite. In my opinion, they are so comfy! And if you wait until Memerial Day weekend they are on sale for $1. That's when I stock up.

I hate Old Navy's cheap flip flops. They give me blisters. My mom swears by Speedo flip flops. She says they are really comfortable, can get wet, and last for years. Her last pair lasted her about 10 years.

DH swears by his rainbows as do many of my friends. I can't wear them because I have VERY flat feet and the arch support hurts my feet, so I only wear mine for shorter outings. However they are really nice and much better for your feet than Old Navy's. The old navy kind are HORRIBLE for your feet or so the orthopedic people tell me.

I only wear flip flops and have for the last 15 years. These are the best IMO. Make sure you get the slim ones, the regular straps hurt.

I also 2nd what people say about reefs and rainbows. I can't wear rainbows due to flat feet.

My best friend bought me some Teva's. They are a lifesaver!! They run somewhere around $25. and they are pretty. I got black ones, and I can wear them with casual attire or a dress/skirt!

I live in my flip flops. I love the Yellow Box and Volitile brands. They are really cute and so comfy. They are more expensive, but I think they are worth it.

well I don't know if you consider these very stylish, but they are comfy and I think they look better than birkenstocks. Nike women's comfort slide sandals in pink. It's like walking on couch cushions, very comfy.

Agreed. I hate flip-flops, but have a pair of black Tevas that have lasted me for almost 2 years. They are comfy and look nice.

I have three different pair of Chaco's. They are tough enough to hold up but also stylish enough to wear to work. I have them on today in fact in black. I also have a dark brown pair and a lighter brown pair! I LOVE them!

This page shows all the Chaco "flips" which are the style I like. They are a little more expensive but you will not have to buy a new pair for a long time. I have had mine for at least 5 years now and they still look great.

I know everyone makes fun of Birkenstocks, but I consider myself *relatively* stylish, and I needed more support than crappy rubber flip flops because of back troubles (and Reefs/Chacos are really NMS - I have a pair that I use when we go kayaking only, but I don't think they look good for regular streetwear). I ended up with these:

They look great with capri pants, and when my husband and I spent a month in Europe last summer I was pleasantly surprised to find many many Parisian women wearing the exact style, which made me feel much better Smile
