I'm no help on this question. I didn't ever sign one. I had an emergency c/s and my husband signed it after it was over. But I am wondering now what they say as well...
I had a csection, but do not remember what the consent said...my son was born by crash section, so I am not even sure what I signed, but I would love ti know when you find out
Maybe I missed an earlier post, but I'm confused. What are you looking to find about about what's in the consent besides the normal hospital CYA stuff?

I just want to review a copy of a standard consent. Wondering what type of complications you consent to basically. I am requesting the actual copy I signed from my hospital but am curious as to what is standard.
Most consents state the procedure (c-section), expected outcome (to deliver a baby), and risks (bleeding, infection, damage to organs, damage to baby, death, etc). By signing a consent, you are stating that the physician explained these items to you and that you understand.
You should be able to go to the medical records department of your hospital and get a copy.
