Big Girl Bed/Mattress Pad Question

My daughter moved into a big girl bed (full size) about a week ago. She's doing great in it and LOVES being in there. We have a regular waterproof matress pad on the bed, but I'm wondering if there is something else we could put on top of the mattress pad (but under the sheet) for added protection/easier changing of the bed if there is an accident. We aren't anywhere near potty training, but do find that occasionally her diaper leaks at night, and I'd rather not have to take the whole mattress pad off each time.

We had something like this flat flannel pad on the crib between the sheet and the mattress pad and it worked great. Anything like this for full size beds? Or, how to you protect your LOs mattress?
