DS is in a class at daycare...all boys ages 2-3. He has commented numerous times about another boy (we'll call him pushing him and eating his food. And B takes their stuff and the teacher's stuff too. I asked about it once and the director said she is aware of it and commented that B is a kind of aggressive child, he usually ends up being moved away from other kids at lunchtime and they have specialists come in to work with him on his speech and manners.
Well, today DS came home with bloody scratches all over his face from B. DH picked him up and there was no accident/incident report. The teacher there at the time acted as if she didn't know anything happened and DH said she just shruged it off and said "oh, B has had a rough life...".
DS said he didn't tell his teachers and he wasn't even playing with B at the time. (and to me this sounds legit based on my previous talk about B with the director and how all the teachers describe how my DS acts at school.)
Do you think I should just ask the director why a report wasn't filed? Or should I dig alittle deeper and be alittle more upset/complain about it?
Re: WWYD about this daycare situation?
This and if it is a chain, I would take it to a higher up it.

My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot.
I wouldn't care too much if a report was filed but I would want ot know that the staff was aware it happened and what steps they took to clean the scratches.
Poor little B.

Since this is a center, what is their policy for bad behavior? I remember from reading our center's Parent Handbook they do have a policy and I think after so many incidents (hitting, biting, etc) they actually have a suspension period. And if it continues after that, the child has to be removed from the center.
I feel badly if his home-life is troublesome, but perhaps a social worker is necessary to address such issues. Not your call, obviously, but it surprises me if the director hasn't considered it. They are supposed to be trained to deal with that sort of situation.
