Help! Cannot tame my c-section fupa!

I am one month PP and HATING this fupa I have developed from the c-section. I've tried compression granny undies to press it in and nothing works. Does anyone have any tips? It's so hideous!

Re: Help! Cannot tame my c-section fupa!

  • What's your def'n of a fupa? My def'n is the area right above the pubic bone, not the roll a little farther up (but still below the belly button). My fupa is fat and lumpy from the c/s incision and I don't know if there is anything I can do about it - it is mostly scar tissue (it had been bigger due to retained fluid but that had dissipated). My "roll" on the other hand - it is saggy skin and muscles and it will just take time to get back in to shape. More so for c/s moms bc we have to take it even slower with exercise. I just make sure to stand up straight and try to use my abs to help my posture - that will help 'suck it in' and also get it back in to shape. Other than that, I just live with it until I can get back to the gym.

My definition is the same as yours. It's just so gross to me...I HATE it. I just decided to try pilates today (beginner pilates...still taking it slow.) I guess I will just have to give it time.

  • im not totally sure what your talking about but I have been wearing a wrap since a few days after I gave birth- 4 weeks ago now- It helps me feel like things are going back the way they were on the inside- try it!

  • The c-section shelf may never go away, unfortunately. I have friends that still have them years after having their last c-section. I'll ditto the pp's suggestion of wearing a wrap or abdominal binder. It definitely makes me feel more comfortable since it holds everything in place and I don't have to feel that annoying jiggle.
