A worker at the grocery store this morning asked me if I knew what I was having. When I happily said, "another girl," he smirked and said, "your poor husband." I didn't even respond, just rolled my eyes. I just can't believe people think like that...
P.S. rude grocery store guy -- If DH could choose, he'd have a whole gaggle of kids, and they'd all be girls. So there.

It's funny, because DH actually wanted a girl first. He had helped raise his 3 sisters and just felt more comfortable around girls.
Speaking of stupid, we were at Discovery Green yesterday and a women comments to her son to watch out he doesn't hit the little girl, meaning DS. DS does NOT look like a girl! The only thing remotely feminine on him yesterday was a pink polo (with gray plaid shorts, both from Carters. So apparently If the boy wears what is deemed a girls color he, is automatically, a she, despite ever stitch of clothing being boys.

funny....same here. and everything you said.
We get asked all the time if we are going to try for another to get a boy... No, we're happy with our 3 girls and we're done!
And we get the "oh your poor husband" ALL.THE.TIME. And well, I feel the same for him, but not because he has 3 girls, but b/c he has MY three girls. LOL
i may be the odd man out here, but i guess i dont view it as so rude... i dont think people really think that the dad is heart broken or wouldn't love a daughter the same as a son.
my husband was, most definitely, over the moon that we were having a little boy. it was what he had dreamed of. and I do think that if we'd found out it was a girl, he'd have been a little bummed at first. that doesnt mean he'd love a little girl any less.
and, ill admit that I really hope that my next one is a little girl. i want a daughter but that doesn't mean that if we have another son i'll love him any less or treat him any different.
