Daycare recommendations - San Francisco

Hello!!

 We just moved to San Francisco six months ago and are expecting our first baby in November - yea!!  We are looking for daycare recommendations in the city.  We live in the Inner Richmond/Lake District area and work in the financial district  Locations in Inner Richmond, Lake District, Laurel Heights, Lower Pac Heights, Russian/Nob Hill, fidi and Soma are probably best, but we are open to suggestions.  We don't know a lot of people in SF - and we don't know anyone with kids.

    Welcome!!! Sorry, no recommendations for day care and I know there are not many people from San Francisco on this board.

    Congrats and welcome!! I love that area, my inlaws live there and we enjoy mountain lake park and the richmond library storytimes!

    I am no help either w/daycare though, I recommend you ask co-workers or other folks with families in the area - maybe stalk some moms/nannies at a nearby park or storytime!!!

    HI everyone!  Thanks for saying hello!  I'm reluctant to start stalking mommies until I'm showing - but maybe I'll have to ask people when I'm at the park walking my dog.  And I'll check with co-workers as soon as I tell them.  I found out I was pregnant the day before I started my job.  I have sent in deposits to four places and have tours scheduled.  But I'll feel better after I talk to some mommies.
