I had 3 from my last pregnancy (Bella Bands and the BE Band from Target) - I'm using them every day at this point and wanted more colors but didn't want to fork out big bucks AND Target only had black and white. I found Bella Vonna Belly Bands on ebay and got 3 for $20 (inlcudes shipping) - you can pick your colors from a wider selection (I got grey, pink, and purple).
I like them - they aren't the kind of shiny-stretchy material that the Bella Bands are - they look more like a tee-shirt material but are really stretchy. I think the run a little smaller than the Bella Bands too. I worry that the regular Bella Bands look like a girdle or underwear when the stick out from under my shirt; these definitely look more like a cami or fitted tee when they peek out.
Anywho, thought I share in case anyone else is looking for one!
Re: If you are thinking of getting a Bella Band
im really thinking of getting something like this.. specially since my back is way more out of shape than it was 6 years ago. i took home a couple of those stretchy cotton things from the hospital that they used to stick the monitor on my belly. those helped a lot from my belly jigling around after having her. i had a hard time walking around with the jigly belly, i walked crouched over. and when i had that on, i could walk normal. it does feel like a ton of weight just fell off your front side making it hard to walk after.
eta.. what exactly do belly bands do? and also when should you start wearing them
I just ordered some too - Thanks!!!!

These are actually just to wear under your clothes - they are great for when you want to wear your regular pants but can't button them! Let you get more life out of your pre-maternity wardrobe.
For after birth, I did use something like you are talking about though - it was a postnatal girdle (https://www.amazon.com/Post-Delivery-Girdle-Belt-Maternity/dp/B0002UCERU) - I wore it right after the birth and for a couple of weeks - helped support my abs and kind of squish everything back into shape (when all your internal organs are readjusting to their old positions after the baby is born). I saw people buying name brand ones that were like $50 but this one worked just fine for me. Also held in the jiggly post-baby belly :-)
