I go to the website and there is a link that says "Easter Egg Roll Terms and Conditions" but when I click on it, it just takes me to the White House home page.
I got tickets (!!!) and now I have no idea how this things works. I have to turn in a leave slip to my boss, and I assume I'm pretty much taking the whole afternoon off... but I remember Sofka saying something about it starting at 1:00? Are there different events or something? Or do you just show up?
I'm so excited!!
Re: Question about WH Easter Egg roll (sofka?)
I think there are different entry times. I didn't get tickets but if I remember correctly, when I entered the lottery, I had to select about 3 different preferred times..
Your ticket should have a time on it.
There are different entry times... you report to the Elipse to wait in line before your timed entry.
My time is noon - so, I'll probably be taking the whole day off.
did you get an email w/ instructions on how to print the tix? as PPs said, it's timed entry. Our time is 2pm but we are taking the whole day off and not planning to send DD to daycare. We'll prob get to DC around lunch time (hoping for car naps!!) and find parking and then walk around and get in line. You have to be in line an hour before your entry time. Once you figure out your ticket time, let us know here - maybe some of us will see e.o.!
ETA: the 1st entry is at 7am
Just picked up the tix - the time is 4:20 pm, arrival time 3:35 pm. We could only get two, so I'll take my four year old.
That actually works out really well - I will work most of the day and not have to take a lot of leave. I don't have much leave after being home with DS recently, so the thought of taking the whole day off for this was making me momentarily hesitate.
I work in Federal Triangle, so my mom has just agreed to go pick up DD #1 from school and drive her to me in the District, then we can just walk over.
Yay for unexpected tickets! Yay for not having to take a lot of leave to do this! Yay for not having a 7:00 am entry time!
that is awesome!! I think 4 is the perfect age for it.
