Update: Labs Drawn

By the time we got to the dr he was back to 101 degrees. So good thing I went.

She ordered a full panel of labs and we will hear back in 24 hours. Even if everything comes up empty, she'll still prescribe antibiotics, because it's just too long to have a fever. She said from the xray there's a very very slight chance of viral pneumonia.

The blood draw was a nightmare, but he was a champ in the end. And Si was the biggest champ of them all hanging in there while the whole thing went down.

We decided no on going to my parent's, but they are on their way up here top visit for the afternoon. My mom wasn't thrilled about that since she was just here and is coming back Sunday for Easter, but hey, she's 64, he's 4, he wins.

I'll keep you posted. Some "simple to fix" dust would be awesome too.

I'm so glad you took him in again. I hope the blood panel shows nothing serious. A week long fever is too long - it's bad for the overall and shows signs of fighting off something IMHO.

I'm glad you were able to take him in too. Finger's crossed that it's nothing a little amoxocillin can't fix.

Uggg mama, what a rough week you've had Left Hug Right Hug . Truckloads of dust for Alex that it's an easy peasy fix and that he bounces right back after a bit of antibiotics. I'm so with you on your mom coming, way easier for her to travel than a sick kiddo.
