Do you nurse to soothe?

My baby will not take a pacifier and most times will only fall asleep if nursed even when i know she's not hungry.  Anyone else use their boobs as sleep inducers?

    Me! I don't find it's an issue since she will fall asleep for other people. She isn't depending in it...yet anyways.

    Yes. I tell my DH that I feel like the human paci! My LO does take a paci but sometimes she gets so worked up fighting sleep that the boob is the only way I can calm her down enough where she falls asleep! Once she falls asleep I slip the paci in her mouth instead of the boob!!!

    I do! DS is really hit/miss with the paci. Sometimes he is so gassy/fussy the only thing that will calm him down is nursing. But I really try to keep this as the last option.

Med. Cycle #2: 6 cysts found. No meds/rest cycle. Trying on our own = BFP # 5! Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 129 Beta #3 = 94 - CP - July 2, 2013. BFP # 6! Beta#1 = 21, Beta#2 =58 Beta#3 = 134. U/S shows heartbeat of 142 at 7w2d!

    I used to when I BF. That and when he was all out having a freak out moment and nothing would make him stop crying. And then he would pass out hardcore.

    I do, but it doesn't happen very often. I have an oversupply and overactive letdown. So, if she's just wanting to suck and I offer, it doesn't end well=she screams at my boobs.

    But, if she was hungry in the first place, finishes eating and just keeps sucking, that's when it works.
