Anyone else with an aversion to sweets? They give me the WORST aftertaste. It's such a shame because Easter candy is my FAVORITE and I have a serious sweet tooth normally! My mom gave me a huge basket of candy yesterday and I can't even bare to look at it! I so hope this passes with 1st tri, but I'm starting to doubt it. I miss my candy, cake, ice cream and cookies! Anyone else have this issue?

Umm... I have the opposite of a sugar aversion... I have a pan of yellow cake with chocolate frosting sitting on my stove right now calling my name. I don't know how long I'm going to be able to hold out!
I know it's dissapointing to dislike foods you used to love though! Some of my favorite foods are now in the "there's no way I could stomach that" category. I'm hoping my regular appetite shows back up in the next few weeks!

No, this baby is craving sugar! But I'm actually being good about it...when I get the sweet craving, I turn to juices and fruit. I make sure I keep pineapple in the fridge and lots of Simply Apple apple juice. But when I get stressed I throw caution to the wind and grab something with some chocolate...I'm no saint.
However, I did just go for a follow-up on my bloodwork yesterday, and I'm down 5 pounds from when I first went in, which is really about 7lbs, given I have gained some uterus/baby/extra blood weight. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
And on the flip side, my usually cravings for salt (I was really a salty food kind of girl...sweets were never my thing) have almost completely subsided. No fries, or chips, or anything. I guess it's just a trade off. But if this continues, I totally picture myself, 8 months pregnant on the couch polishing off a tub of Ben and Jerry's. And my husband will completely indulge me! Bad man...
