When DH and I went to visit Emily last night, the dr told us some great news. They were planing on weaning her off the vent completely this weekend. And she is keeping food down and digesting it, eating every 2hrs! AND the dr said she would like for her to be home by 4th of July!! So amazing! LOL The same dr that was trying to brace us for the worst is now telling us when she wants to be able to send Emily home. It was such a relief. We also got the results back from her brain scan. She had a Cat II bleed right after birth but hasn't had one since. And the scan showed signs of the original bleed beginning to break down.

We went in to visit her this morning and lo and behold Emily was breathing on her own!! She is off the vent and on the bubble c deal. I am so amazed at our little fighter. She is 1 week old tomorrow at 0200 and she is doing so dang well. It is almost too much.
