Okay ladies, I have a plastic container issue. How do you store them? It seems like I come up with a "good" strategy, then after 2 loads of wash, disaster again. If I had money to spare, I would of course throw out/recycle the ones I have and buy all same brand. But since I don't, I need help. Ideas? Suggestions? Or is it a lost cause? TIA!

Are we talking tupperware dishes and stuff? I have multiple brands and sizes as well. I have one whole bottom cabinet dedicated to only plastic containers. I have a section on the right side for only lids. Then the left side is all stacked from largest on the bottom to smaller on the top. All rounds togther and square and rectangle together. The ones I don't use that often in the back and the ones I use all the time in the front. Also, you can get a little expandable shelf at The Container Store or IKEA. It just helps stack stuff if your limited on space. HTH!

The only ones i use with a lot of regularity are these plastic containers that we got from chinese take out.
I have a really big cabinet for them all. It's kinda messy no matter what though, and I can't get dh to figure it out, so if he "helps" put things away everything is misplaced. lol
good luck!

What about a tuperware swap? Even if you match just some- then you and a friend have more matching/ nesting and so does a friend.

Today I am pregnant & I love my baby!
After years of trying to keep up, I have in and gave them their space. I have two shelves in one of my cabinets (double cabinet) solely for plastic containers. I keep the lits on a basket on the top shelf, so I can just pull the basket down when I need a lid.
The rest of the top shelf holds my larger containers and my three pyrex bowl w/lids.
On the other shelf, I just have to take the time to nest the containers with their proper partners. I have about four different types of containers and when I buy new, I try to stay with the same brands. I also save large yogurt, butter, and sour cream containers, and the glad containers that the lunch meat comes in.
I will have to check these places out! *heading to google to see if there is a Container Store here*
