Re: ~*~Twin / Triplet Check In ~*~

  • Congratulations to Mari & Wannabelewis!  Hope you and your babies are all doing well!!!

Update: Not much new to report since Thursday...  Waiting on GD results and PiH blood panel results for possible Pre-Eclampsia.  Finalized names: William George (nn: Will) and Caroline Patrice (nn: Cay, like Kaye).  Got the call the cribs are in, so we can go get them at any time (woohoo!).

QOTW: We picked our pediatrician based on three recommendations from friends who live in our area.  All three use the same pediatrician, so it made the choice quite simple for us!

  • Update: 36 weeks tomorrow! 1 more week and we'll be full-term! Yay! As of Friday our little guy has gone from transverse to breech (apparently he's not getting the memos that he's supposed to be going the opposite way) and our little girl is still transverse. We've scheduled a c-section date, but anything can still change. Our final growth scan is tomorrow and we are so excited to be in the final stretch here!

QOTW: Our Pediatrician came highly recommended by our OB. Since our OB is so fantastic and his children had the same Pedi, it was easy to follow his recommendation. We've already had a "meet and greet" with our Pedi and we really like him!

ETA: Congrats to our new Mommas!!!

  • Congrats to Mari2003 and Wannabealewis!!

I was 9 weeks on Fri.  Still having m/s and occasional bad headaches.  Go back to the ob/gyn next week.

QOTD:  We will be using my parents old neighbor who is a great pedi in our area.  My BFF and her sister both use her too.  BFF already told her to expect some new patients from me!

haha!  We are considering those names too!   Caroline is my top choice for a girl's name right now and my Dad is William so we are thinking about William but call him Will.  Guess we will see when we find out what we are having!

    Can I join you?  :)

I am waiting on our second ultrasound this Friday.  Hoping for good measurements on both babies.

We will be using a close friend of the family as our pedi.

  • Congrats to Mari and Wannabalewis!!

QOTW:  I plan on talking to my OB and seeing who she recommends. I'll also ask some friends that live in the same area and see what they think. I imagine we'll make consulation appts this June or July.

Updates: I haven't posted an update in a long time. Things are going really well! The first tri, exhaustion/nausea has passed, and I'm feeling great. We scheduled an elective gender scan for a week from today and I can't wait! Luckily this week will be busy so the time should fly by!

I hope everyone has a great week!

  • Can you change my due date to Ocotber 12th pretty please!

So looks like my due date was moved up! I have been off by a week somehow Confused In the begining she told me Oct 19th but Friday she told me the babies were measuring further along than that and it looks she changed my EDD to the 12th.

I was reffered to a pediatrician here who has twins and I think it would benifit to see her as she knows what it's like to raise twins!

    Congrats Mari and Wannabe!

EDIT: I have to go see a high risk ob MFM next week as she wants him as a back up "just in case" that's what she told me anyway so I am a little nervous! I will post the last u/s pics here in a bit!

  • Update: 35 weeks and everything is going good so far. I am going to my Dr. twice a week for NST's and ultrasounds. I have a growth scan next week. I've been getting some contractions (definitely during my NST's but half the time I can't feel them). Couple more weeks to go!

QOTW: Our Pediatrician came highly recommended by my OB and also, I am part of a MoM's group and most of them go to her as well. She was actually a guest speaker at one of their functions last week. We went and interviewed her and really liked her.

  • Hi ladies... Just a small update...

The boys are doing great. No IV's, no help breathing, and have moved up on there feedings. Joshua the larger boy will start some bottle feeding next week. Other than that I have no other news.

Oh please update the boys where born on 4/7...

    Thanks ladies.

Can you add me? I'm due Oct 14th

Update: not much going on, just waiting between Drs appts

QOTD: I'm in such a quandry about pediatricians.  I LOVE my pediatrician for my teenagers and they've seen him since they were babies but his practice has moved and it's extremely inconvienent to get to his new office but not a huge deal as we really only go for check ups and maybe one sick visit a year.  With all the visits in the first two years I don't think I can do it - esp with two!  I may ask my current ped for a closer recommendation.

  • Hi ladies!  May I please be added?  Our twins are due December 3rd.

Still early, so nothing too exciting is going on.  I am starting to bloat pretty badly, and the skirt I am wearing today might have to be put away for the next year or so.  So far I've avoided any bad m/s, but it's getting a little worse every day.

We have our 2nd u/s on Wednesday, so if all is well we'll hear the heartbeats!  I'm so excited to see our babies again.  Last night I dreamed we were having a boy and a girl.

QOTW:  I have no idea how I will pick the pediatrician.  Adding that to the list of things to do...

    Congrats Mari and Wannabealewis!

Update: We had a growth scan last week and both girls were looking great!  Baby A was measuring 1lb, 4 oz, and Baby B 1lb, 1oz.  DH finally felt some nice strong kicks over the weekend, which I think may have been more exciting for me than it was for him :)

QOTW: We picked one that works in the same practice that I went to as a child.  We've heard nothing but wonderful things about him, but still plan to set up a meeting with him in the next few weeks.

Our IVF miracles arrived on 7/20/11 at 37 weeks after 3 weeks of hospital bedrest! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers "Stubbornly persist, and you will find that the limits of your stubbornness go well beyond the stubbornness of your limits." ~Robert Brault
  • Congrats Mari and Wannabealewis!!

Update: Had my NT scan today and so far everything looked perfect.  I was very relieved to hear this and to see them again.   Such personalities already!  I wonder if they will be similar in character when they are born.  I am starting to really let my guard down and have started to think of names and all the things we need to get done before they arrive.

QOTW:   I have a pedi from DD#1 so we will probably just use him.  I LOVE him..  BUT we have since moved pretty far away from him and I dont know if I will switch. Like a PP said, it isn't a big deal with just annual well visits and occasional sick apt.  but the frequency of a newborn or two sounds a bit much.  DH does not want to change at all though so..  i dunno if i will let him win that one or not yet.  For him we got local referrals and did a handful of "meet and greet" with different Dr's and offices.  Now all of my friends see him too cus we love him so much.  (or at least go to the same practice.)

  • Congrats to Mari & Wannabealewis!

Update: I will be 20wks on Thurs! I can't believe it! More than halfway for sure. I have my 2nd part of the anatomy scan that afternoon! I asked on the Multiples board about triplet MoM's and how they "went into labor or delivered". As the weeks go by I get more and more anxious about all that!

QOTW: We will go to the same Pedi as DD has. I love her, and she seems really excited about the Trio!

  • Congrats to Mari2003 and Wannabealewis!!

Update: We're narrowing down our list of names for the boys. They will either be:

    Mason James & Lucas Michael

    Noah James & Lucas Michael

    Noah Michael & Lucas James

Then we have to decide if we're going to be sharing the names with people, or keeping it a secret!

QOTW: I have asked friends who they take their LOs to, and I will ask my OB also for his recomendations.

  • Congrats to Mari and wannabealewis!!!!!

UPdate:  My belly is growing everyday and I love it!  I picked out our bedding, the crib skirt is being made and  will be ready to paint next weekend.  The girls have matching tutus in pink, red and black, and a few onsies.  But who needs clothes when you have tutus!

QOTW:  We are going to meet with 2 practices for the Pedis.  One on a recommendation from friends and the other is in the same building as my OB and PCP.
