Anyone have a Sonoline B Doppler?

DH has finally agreed to getting a doppler. Last night we ordered the Sonoline B and I was just wondering what everyone thought about it. Also, how big is the Gel packet that comes with the doppler? Should we buy more U/S Gel? Or is there something better/cheaper that we can use?

I've had that doppler since about 11 weeks and I LOVE it!! It's fabulous! Never had a hard time finding the heartbeat. I have used it A LOT (sometimes multiple times a day)...and I'm just now running out of gel at 25 weeks.

We have it. Got it for xmas. Not sure how many oz. the gel is (im not home) but I havent bought/needed more. It depends how often you plan to use it. Ive used it maybe 10 times or less. I dont really use it much now since I feel the baby move ALL THE TIME. Loved having the doppler, it works great & very easy to use. Love that it tells the BPM.

I would imagine any water based gel would work ( I even thought lube would work, havent tried it though, lol)

Omg this doppler saved me from many panic attacks when i first got pregnant.... never had a problem finding the heartbeat with it. You dont have to use that gel...we use baby oil with it lol....great purchase!!!!

DH got me the sonoline b for xmas. I didn't run out of gel, but I dropped it behind my dresser a while back and don't feel like moving furniture, so now I just use aloe gel that I already had.

Given our history of miscarriages, etc this doppler has been amazing! It's nice to have on the days when LO isn't as active and making you panic a little!

This. The aloe works the same as the u/s gel, it's cheaper, and it's not at sticky! I bought the Vaseline brand, and it smells pretty too.

Good to know it was a Good investment on our part! Looks like the next time I head to the store, I'll be picking up some aloe (just finished our bottle from last summer a couple of days ago, when I sun-burnt my legs LOL) Thanks for the info ladies!
