Brown spotting... call doc?

And by spotting I mean, literally one swipe... Should I call the doctor?

You can, but when I had that happen with my m/c (not to scare you) - I had brown spotting like that for a few days before the full m/c, they just told me to monitor and call back if it turned bright red or when it was going on for more than 12-24 hours. They said it was not uncommon for brown spotting early on, but it may make you feel better just to talk to them.

Brown is normal unless it turns red. many people spot, but also brown spotting can turn to red and a m/c but that's why you monitor. I would call if it turns red or whatever will make you feel better. GL, praying for a sticky baby!!

If it continues or comes back I would call. Although brown spotting can be just old blood, it could be the signs of an ectopic or m/c.

I had some brown spotting last week, I called the doctor and she wasn't worried at all, she said I shouldn't worry unless I see red, but it made me feel much better to hear that from her, so maybe you should call just to get some solid reassurance, it put my mind at ease.

I had what seems like the same amount you had last Friday. The doctor wanted me to come in for an ultrasound today. Hopeful to see a sweet pea and a little heart beat!

Call for peace of mind. I called and they got me in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks (today!) instead of at 8. I haven't had spotting for several days though, but I am still going to my appointment. You will probably be fine!!

I had some brownish/pink discharge yesterday and this morning. I called and they made an appointment for me to go in today for an u/s. Hopefully everything is ok.

I call all the time. I think it's because this is my first and I'm a worry wart, but it is a lot better to "know" what's going on, rather than guess. Good luck.?

I would call. I had a little bit every now and then over the past couple of days and it made me nervous. It has pretty much stopped now. I had an appointment yesterday and I have an ultrasound next week to see the heartbeat. I am sure you are fine, but stress is very bad for baby!
