We got another kitty right after my old kitty died - I wanted to be sure she adjusted to DH and I before M was born. So I'm madly in love with out new cat, but I'm still heartbroken over the loss of my old cat
I responded on the post w/the pic, but she was really beautiful. I have a huge soft spot for big cats. I love my cat 4 years ago in May. I still miss him and think about him.

It has been about 3 years since I lost my two. I got them the month after I graduated from college and they were with me for 15 years, then they both died within a couple months of each other. My big boy, Puck, died unexpectedly of congestive heart failure when I was 9 months pregnant with Ellie, and my little girl, Checkers, finally succumbed to kidney failure when Ellie was about 2 months old.
I know how you feel. I was heartbroken for months and I still get choked up sometimes when I think about them. Honestly, I am only now starting to think that I might be able to get another cat sometime. Losing them hurt so much I don't know if I can go through that again, plus they were so awesome I don't know if I could find another kitty that wonderful. In any case, I would wait till both kids are a little older - to spare the kitty from being tortured.

Thank you all so much, girls! As you can see from my siggy we've got a new bundle of fuzzy love, but I am still in mourning over the loss of the fluff.
